The last month has been super busy with work, home life, holidays and everything else between, so I decided to do a quick round-up post of everything that I’ve been up to recently as well as a top 3 pick of recently released kicks.

God’s of Rap:

Back the other month size? collaborated with three major rap ‘Gods’ who changed hiphop music forever!– Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy and De La Soul. As part of the collaboration size? joined them on their once in a lifetime European tour, and I had the chance to attend the Manchester concert and fly out to Amsterdam for a size?sessions event with De La Soul.


 Oakley

Fast forward a week or so and I landed back in the UK and headed down to London for a size? exclusive launch event with Oakley.

For those like myself who love shades, I was super excited to meet the Oakley team who flew in from LA.

After weeks of preperation, size? and Oakley hosted a launch event at the size? store to mark the release of the exclusive ‘Chemical Vision’ collection.

The guest-list only event gave attendees and influencers the chance to buy a pair of the shades and get them personally engraved before a Q&A panel talk with the designers from Oakley.

To finish the night we all headed off to Soho’s nightclub Toy Room (in our trainers) to celebrate, dress code where?

 

 Festival Season

Heading back up to Manchester and it was only a few days until Parklife festival, although it was due to absolutely pour it down – in early June, amazing English weather – I was ready to have a long (raving) weekend off.

 Holiday

A week later and we jetted off on holiday for a well deserved break. Whilst away and when I wasn’t tanning or matching my kicks to my bikinis, I took the time to come up with loads of new ideas for my website and content for my blog, so be sure to keep an eye out for whats to come.

 

 Top 3 kick picks

And finally, I couldn’t finish off a blog post without dedicating a section soley for trainers. I feel like there’s been some amazing releases to start the Summer season so I’ve picked three of my recent favourites. Let me know your thoughts - if you agree, disagree and what’s in your top 3?

 

 My top picks are:

  • Nike Zoom X Vista - I love the silhouette and colourway! It’s a little out there but a perfect rave/festival shoe. The neon colours fit in perfectly with the season (and would go great with some bikinis in Ibiza girls).

  • Nike 270 React - Again, I love the silhouette and the colourway. I love colours on the men’s drop but the women’s are also super clean and I’m so glad us girls get our own release! I love how Nike have incorporated a Nike React Element 87 upper and the air bubble of the 270 - Reacts look so nice on foot so what’s better than adding extra air? - As well as this release, Nike are also dropping a ‘Hyper Pink Vivid Purple’ Women’s only pair, so keep your eyes peeled girls!

  • The Sacai x Nike Blazer: I never used to be the biggest fan of Nike Blazers when they came around a few years back, but this time around they’ve dropped some amazing colourways and I just think these are a perfect Summer ‘sneaker’. The colours on these are my favourite out of my top 3, the double laces and the double swoosh looks insane, so I’m beyond sad that I didn’t cop a pair!
