Converse x Carhartt Milan launch event

 Last September 2018, I was fortunate enough to fly out to Milan with size? for the Converse x Carhartt WIP launch event.

Converse and Carhartt first teamed up last June and worked on a Converse Chuck 70, adding in some brown canvas and tiger print to the iconic silhouette. In autumn they collaborated again to create a military inspired One Star. Made from durable CORDURA® fabric, the pack came in colours of white, khaki and black.

The launch event was hosted in Milan’s Spazio Maiocchi art, design and fashion space. Inside the space there was a Converse X Carhartt beach buggy, luminous podiums and parachutes. With a DJ playing minimal house and a free bar, it was a great night.

It was the first time I had been to Milan and it’s definitely a city I’d like to visit again. Although I’m not the biggest fan of Italian food, the restaurants are amazing. The city is filled with character and everyone is so fashionable (I was lucky enough to fly out during Milan fashion week). Streetwear and sneakers are on another level out in Milan so if you’re looking for some inspiration and a pizza, I’d definitely recommend Milano.
